  • Charles Foster Hearse: Founded the magazines "Spooks Illustrated", "Boosweek" and "Popular Fantasmics". He created the publishing empire based on his love of the supernatural. His ghost still haunts his mansion.
  • Charles Foster Hearse III: The Grandson of Charles Foster Hearse, he wishes to select one of the Ghostbusters for the Spooks Illustrated "Ghosthunter of the Year" award.
  • Barbara Mentee: Special Executive Assistant to Mr. Charles Foster Hearse III
