Anyone excited to see old Ghostbuster butts?!

As much as I'd love to say the pack is 'mine', it definitely belongs to Sean, J, and everybody else who had a hand in building it.

But as a cool side note, the pack already has the signatures of Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson on it. But seeing Bill wear it on stage is simply the top of the mountain. A Proton Pack (or humble movie fan) can't ask for any better than that!

Well, there goes everyone's agreements for screen accuracy when Bill Murray himself doesn't even seem to give a rat's ass lmao.

I could still do without the double ghost patch, however :)

As far as GB3 is concerned, it's 2010. I'm all for the younger generation falling in love with Ghostbusters. I don't want young kids to be like "oh, you mean that movie with the old people" when referring to GB3. The cast is just too old to be marketable on their own (if if it was just them in the movie, I can't imagine kids rushing to the stores to buy figures of old folks) and too old to do any kind of stunt work, IMO. Sure, be in the story, have lots of screen time, maybe even assist the final bust, but be real -- it's time to pass the torch.

Seems like everyone's fear comes from the potential of them messing it up, which is understandable. But if done right, which I'm sure it will be given the amount of time it's been in development hell, it'll turn out just fine.

Funny story, that was the SECOND thing (after, "HOLY [expletive deleted for all you youngsters]!!!), I was thinking, "Man, what pack did Bish give him that he was able to fling that thing over his shoulder like it was a messenger bag?"

I dare you to go up to Bill Murray and tell him his flight suit is wrong. Go ahead, we'll all stand back here and laugh (and maybe catch you walking back with your tail between your legs in the video we'll upload to YouTube).

GB3 or not, this is so cool. It's like I can draw a direct line between 12 year old me and 31 year old me. Very few images get that kind of reaction. Bill Murray in the flightsuit and proton pack is one of them.

Tool cool!

SO AWESOME. the pics alone are awesome. (I havent watched the youtube video above yet), and I dont have cable, so I'll have to have someone tape the awards for me (want to see the BTTF stuff too!), even though I'm sure the whole thing will be online afterwards.

and who is this long legged hottie escorting him off stage?

Very cool to see him in the suit, of course!

But I'm not sure if we should read too much into it -- weren't they doing a whole bunch of cast reunions as a big media publicity stunt? Maybe they paid him big bucks to do this, and he was like, "what the heck, I'll take their cash"?

What was the vest and hard hat about? Would love to see the whole clip.

I know these pics re-light the embers of the 'will they wont they make the 3rd movie' wildfire online, but it really made me smile to see Mr Murry hoist on the pack again. You know what, I think they could pull it off... These pics aren't the sign of a movie green light, but we maybe a sucked-in-gut closer!! (fingers (not streams) crossed...

It is awesome that he did this, but it does not have any connection to GB3. He simply wore the costume because it was an important part of his cameo in Zombieland.

The double arm patches were just so that anyone could see that it was obviously a Ghostbuster costume, no matter what angle the camera captured him at.

I see that Sigourney Weaver was also in attendance to accept a "Heroine Discretionary Award" for Avatar. Can we hope for some pics of her and Bill Murray together?

It surely is not a confirmation of GB3 but there are some facts that have to be considered:

1- the GB3 hype is at its highest level
2- Murray declared himself tired to be endlessly asked about GB3
3- whatever GB related Murray does..it always ends with talks about GB3 and he's well aware of it.

Question: why in the hell Murray would have done something that re-enforce all the GB3 buzzing, if he's tired of it?

I'm with the Proton Charging point of view...he's bulidng bridges between Sony and GB.

I wonder if Weaver helped convinve him to dress up. Either way between the video game, this, and I suspect speaking with Weaver, its all at least putting positive GB vibes in his mind instead of GB2 and Year One. Not by any means confirmation but steps in the right direction.
