As happy as I am about the level of detail the Playmobil Ectos offered, two things struck me as easily improvable. The white tube on the Ecto-1 and the blue tail lights of the Ecto-1A. Thankfully the Playmobil customer service is very generous when it comes to spare parts. I ordered a grey hose for the Ecto-1 and two additional green lights as well as spare stickers (and two proton beams for the GB2 figures). I'm very pleased with the result.
