Would there be any interest in a 3d Printed Motorola MT-500 that actually worked as a Walkie Talkie?

I've been looking at some small FRS radios and I think I'd be able to fit it into a 3D printed shell with room left over for a sound board that could "talk back" with sound files from the movie.

Just curious if there would be any interest. Then you'd have a legal, working radio to communicate with at outings.
Let me know your thoughts please?
It won't be as cheap as the Spirit Halloween radio, for sure...

Well, due to the underwhelming response. This is not a project I will take on.

I am however going to keep working on the Proton pack Christmas tree ornament, and the Gigameter.
Thanks all GBFans!

Before giving up on this project, try posting it in the "for sale" or another forum topic. You might just not be getting a lot of eyes in this particular one.

Keep in mind you must be a payed member of GBFans before you can solicit items as well. :)

I would absolutely be interested! And I'm sure if more saw your post they would be on board as well. That would make everyone's live easier and add a bit of realism to the prop itself.

I found the GB groups on Facebook that appear to be a bit more active. I will take your advice and try again.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have embarked on the RTV project that has eaten the last 4 months of my spare time.
It is built and when I have all the extras done I’ll look into the radios. Thanks again!
