- December 1st, 2010, 2:33 am#284384I cant pretend that I visit here nearly enough, but it always seemed like a really friendly place. Its sad to see that a new product that everyone really loves is causing the members of GBFANS to argue amongst themselves.
I'm just saying that before I read these threads I would have sworn blind that US and European Fans would have condemed Matty for such poor customer service but for one reason or another that hasnt happened this time. I know from other threads that there have been times when Mattels customer service has affected US Fans too, so I think we should stick together and hopefully force Mattel to make changes to stop things like this happening.
Now on a happier note. If we are unlucky enough to not get a PKE this time I think we can safely say there will be more in the future. This has been Mattels tactic for some time, quick sell out and demand comes back even stronger when they re-stock. Whether or not they make changes to help international customers...who knows, but fighting with people on here wont make that happen. Carefully thought out emails to Mattel from all those dissapointed by this oversight would surely be the best way to make them sit up and think about their future strategy.
As for Matty collector, the customer service always has been poor. I mean, just send a question to them and get the standard "Im sorry for your concern but we cannot assist you with this issue" email back time and time again. You can see from this they really only care about the cash and not the customer. Its classic monopoly behavour.
