Seems like an obvious idea, leaves the handle upward, allows quick drawing & stowing... but has anyone ever tried it? I can't find any examples!

I'm not aware of anyone trying an upward-handle configuration. Most holsters that've been produced have the handle facing downward.

That looks awesome, per chance do you have any pictures of you wearing this? I may be interested in trying this for my gear depending on how it looks.
