Hi,

I ordered a gbfanbs soundboard and I just got notice from customs that it was delivered to them. I read on a lot of model kit forums that customs in germany have become very picky when it comes to a proper "CE" sign. I doubt that the soundboard has a proper CS sign and a manual in german (which is required by law as well afaik).

Does anyone has experience with electronics and customs? What would be the best thing to tell them?

i think you only need the CE when you will sell it at a shop in germany or the EU.
When you use it for yourself, you dont need a CE.
The Matty-things have no CE, no Problems with customs.
And i got the GBFans Soundboard and a lot other electronicparts from US too.
Never had problems with the customs.

ok, good to hear. I heard from some modelers that they ran into problems with customs trying to import electronics without a CE sign. Customs told them that even importing on their own for their own needs is a "Inverkehrbringen" according to the EU meaning a CE sign would be mandatory (Zollamt Essen).
