I have watched some RGB casually in the past, but now I am considering watching the show (from the first episode and all the way up to the point before Q5 ruined the show) My question is do the digital season downloads include the syndicated episodes? (the episodes that weren't aired on ABC) Also as a follow up question, what was the last season of the show before Q5 took over? (I don't want to accidentally buy any "Q5 Era" seasons of The RGB) If any of you fellow Ghostheads have the answer to these questions, please let me know. Thanks :)

Q5's influence started in the 1987 ABC episodes, usually referred to as Season Three. Season One (ABC 1986) and Season Two (the 1987 first-run syndication episodes) were before that. So the first 78 episodes were pre-Q5.

To make things just a little more complicated, though, two episodes appear to have been "swapped" in their seasons as aired; "Slimer, Is That You?" was written by JMS and has Lorenzo Music and Laura Summer in it, but first aired on ABC in 1987 and 1988. "Transylvania Homesick Blues" has Dave Coulier and Kath Soucie, but was aired in syndication in 1987. The latter appears to be something of a "transition" episode in ways, as Janine still has her Season 1-2 character design in her brief appearance. More helpful information here:
