I have a nomex currently but I don't think the zipper color is right. It should be gold right?

Some nomex suits have the brass zippers, but covered with a black coating which you can sand off.
Not all of them though.
They also lack the side entry pockets and ripstop fabric that the original suits had.
They are the closest off the shelf alternative though.

Magnoli clothiers has started a project to replicate the original suits with the assistance of a community member who owns a screen used suit from both of the movies.
They are still in the pattern making stages, so it remains to be seen just how accurate they'll be, although they will have the details which the modern nomex suits lack.

Wow that sounds great. Did the owner ever post pictures of the screen used uniform? I'd love to see.
