Mad Men is one of the best written drama shows of all time after The Sopranos, Deadwood and The Wire. If you like great characters and have an interest in seeing how style, attitudes and pop culture changed during the counter culture era of the '60s at a New York ad agency then you'll love it. Don Draper as played by Jon Hamm is a riddle inside an enigma wrapped in a mystery.

I haven't seen Stranger Things or Mad Men so I can't pass judgement. If you love Stephen King, early Amblin era flicks like E.T, Goonies, Back to the Future & Gremlins mixed with a dash of John Carpenter, then Stranger Things is right up your alley.
