I recently picked up a Walmart Ghost trap from eBay and wanted a really bright light when the trap is opened. I had the idea of wiring a disassembled led flashlight (with its own batteries) so that when the trap opens it triggers the flashlight led.

I have almost no experience with wiring electronics and have no idea if this is possible. I’ve seen on the board that the green leds have their port on the board but not sure if I can piggyback the flashlight led off of them while the flashlight has its own power supply.

Sorry if this is a little wordy but I want to make sure I explain it right.
