My Dad and I got some Spirit traps and are quite pleased with them. They got even better once we put pedals on and distressed them.

The base is wood glued to EVA foam. The pedal is wood with a cut up threshold tread glued to it. I used q small hinge to connect them. The bellows is a green mesh tube (from a light up headband thing) that was glued to a coil and coated with plastidip.

The resistor is a small Tupperware container that is bolted to the base. Inside the Tupperware is a strand of LEDs coiled around foam. The battery pack for the LEDs is on the other side of the base, next to a block of wood that the foster connector is screwed into. The ribbon cable is from a Dell computer that expired some time ago.

The trap pedal is not completely accurate, but for the price, it worked out nicely. The pedal does not activate the trap. I am hesitant to fiddle with the spirit trap mechanics.
