Hey guys,

I just wanted to showcase my 3D printed unlicensed nuclear accelerator. I lost count of the hours but it took about 8 months from start to finish.

You did a really good job! Did you make your own files or use someone else's?

Wow, that looks incredible. Exactly what parts here are 3D printed and what is not? Obviously the tubing and electronics are not lol, what about the shell though, is that fiberglass? And like NotSabbat asked, what files did you use?

Pretty much everything is 3D printed except the tubing and brass fittings and some small metal parts. The motherboard is plexiglas.

I'll link the files below.

That's awesome man, thanks. I've got a few more questions if you don't mind.

What method did you use to get rid of the layer lines? How long did it take you? What was the total cost of the pack?

Filler primer, Bondo glazing and spot putty and a lot of sanding is how you get rid of the lines ;)

That said, I lost count of the hours. It took a lot of time to get the parts as smooth as I wanted.

There is about 50$ worth of PETG filament, maybe around 300$ on electronics and random parts, 200$ of putty, primer and paint... Overall I think I spent around 550-650$ Canadian on the pack.

And it took me around 14 months from start to finish on everything.

hey man awesome pack. was wondering what the thing that connects the loom tube to your handle is called and where you got it? (I'm from Canada)

Also do you have the name or a link to the red and white light you have on your wand?

Sorry, I don't have the files in my computer anymore. Try again on thingiverse, they are a reliable site and I tested earlier. It was working.

Great build! Can I ask how much this weighs? I'm curious to see how the weight compares to the Spirit Halloween pack (highly modified) I'm using now. I just got a 3D printer (Creality CR10s-Pro V2) and I may gift my current pack to my son :)

Stellar job, that looks great! Although Dobby looks so terrified of you in that first full-body shot. :P

Very cool build. I've been 3D printing for a few years now and it never ceases to amaze me the builds that can be achieved across the board with doing it. Great pack sir.

What adhesive or attachment method did you use to hold your PETG pieces together? I'm in the midst of printing my pack in PETG using Quentin Machiels MK2.1 designs (Thingiverse & the 3D Printed Ghostbusters Props Facebook group) and I haven't settled on how to glue/attach the pieces together. I've seen everything from friction welding, welding, CA glue (super glue), epoxy, Weld-On (#3 or #4), etc. and I can't decide.

Thanks!
