I'm working on something very similar, but I'm using a different pair of VR goggles. will post a new topic for it when I get it finished. hardest part so far was removing the straps, then using superglue to permanently attach the removable piece of the front flip down plate and then determining where to drill the holes for the eye pieces so you can see while having the goggles on your face. I just got the 3d printed goggle tube pieces I'm going to use for the front so I should have them ready to show off soon. If they turn out well I'm going to give them to someone in my group to use with their uniform that doesn't already have their own pair.
