[History] [Revise]The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man


The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is played by Billy Bryan in the 1984 film, Ghostbusters. Billy Bryan also designed the character and created the Stay Puft costume. In the film, Stay Puft is the destructor-form Gozer embodies towards the films climax. Gozer's destructor form was chosen by Dr. Ray Stantz in an attempt to pick the most harmless character he can think of.

The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is one of the only sequences that remains from Dan Aykroyd's (co-writer and actor) original draft.The Stay Puft emerges out of the East River in the original draft, but the idea was dropped partially due to cost.
