Now that we know the new teaser for GB4 is on the way, I was thinking. Which trailer is the BEST?

I don’t have time to link to them, so maybe someone with more time than I can do that, but I’m talking all theatrical trailers from any GB film. From the first film to Answer the Call and Afterlife and everything in between.

It could be the trailer that pumps you up, gets you excited or that you have a particular fond memory of.

For example. I still remember waking up one January morning a few years back and learning that not only was there going to be a new Ghostbusters movie connected to the originals but they had a teaser! And it was awesome!

So this is a place to discuss all things GB trailers. Please no final film bashing or anything. Just the trailers, what’s in them, what’s good, what’s not etc

And maybe tomorrow we can add a new one to list!

Personally, I love the original teaser trailer from '83, but the Afterlife teaser was pretty damn special.

Man. What a mistake it was not to released that as a teaser. It works so well

As someone who’s worked in Marketing I’ve often wondered what would happen if one of these big movies, like a Avengers or Star Wars, just released a single teaser with maybe 15 seconds of footage followed by a title and a release date. That’s it. No more trailers or footage than that 15 seconds, The entire movie would be a surprise for everyone. None of the jokes get stale. Why these big massive movies need 150 million dollar ad campaigns just never makes sense. Star Wars as a title does all the heavy lifting.

That’s what I think about when I see this teaser. They could’ve released just this and the movie probably made the same amount of money. Heck. Maybe a bit more? Who knows.
