[Dr Jekyll]

Hey GBs! I am putting together a fandom convention for Saturday December 13th, a one-day event to raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project and Shriners Hospitals for Children. The event will be held in the newly built Jekyll Island Convention Center on Jekyll Island Georgia. We have the venue locked in for this date and are still taking guest, vendor and sponsor reservations.

We are doing this convention to help both charities, and so far we have covered quite a lot just out of our pockets. Although we don't have the size and reach that cons like Dragon Con or Wizard World have, our intentions are purely of heart. Helping a few causes and bringing a convention to fans like us, who loved the shared experience of meeting others with our interests. This is our first convention, and we are trying to make it a success to have more fund raising cons for more charities next year.
