Spengs, you serious about this catching ghost? - Dr. Venkman I'm always serious. - Egon
I've resisted somewhat about posting this here because I know scans of the comics (up to a certain issue last I saw them) are posted on this site. Hopefully for those who don't know about what I've been up to, especially this month, this will be welcome, even enjoyable news.
I've been scanning my own collection of The Real Ghostbusters comic books, cleaning them up, and when needed restoring them. ie: de-aging the pages, especially the stories to look like they would have in the '80s. (and early '90s) Why am I doing this? I'm a fan who believes in sharing out of print, not always available to the public (print editions) material from Ghostbusters. Such as I've already done with The Real Ghostbusters magazines. I run a site (where I'm paying for hosting anyway) that is about The Real Ghostbusters. It's a lot of work at times, if fans are enjoying the comics as I have been again it's worth it.
As an adult I didn't have every issue of the RGB comics. At one time I had the scans that were available from both Ghostbusters Fans and someone named brianzc. I was glad to have them from about 2007 until 2011. I don't know if brianzc scanned a lot of the issues or just shared them on the forums. When I had a chance to buy the majority of RGB (and a lot of Slimer! issues) last year I wanted to make them available to other Ghostbusters fans.
I put up issues 15 (part 1 of a 2 part story) and 16 (part 2 of a 2 part story) today. Issues 1-16, the three part Ghostbusters II adaptation from NOW, and Slimer! issue 1 are available to read and download at ectocontainment.com.
