Hi All,

Thought i'd share some pic's of my belt gizmo & holder I made for ComicCon UK 2017.

The holder was made from a template I found on the internet cut out of bendable cardboard with a PVC material glued over the cardboard and sprayed black. I then assembled using pop rivets, washers and a button to make it look like the one in the movies.

The mother board and daughter board was again made from an image I found on the internet and stuck to rigid cardboard. I then glued on various resistors and capacitors to make it look more realistic. The white and black Sanyo chips were made from self adhesive white and black foam form Hobbycraft with image of the chips from the internet glued onto to make them look raised like the real thing.

I was tempted to use real nixie tubes for accuracy but I wanted the the gizmo to stand out so I used 12mm clear PVC hose I had left over from my outfit with the ends of clear paint pipette's cut to cap off the ends.

I then bought a Knightrider chaser LED board from eBay and soldiered the 8 LED's into the base of each faux nixie tube which was really fiddly but the end result is as follows.....

Not really screen accurate but it stood out during ComicCon and I was happy with the results.

I would change a few things so when I've finished my Proton wand build I may dust it off and alter a few things so watch this space.
