Firstly, I'd also like to have co-op since my PS3 isn't hooked to the interwebs. So would anyone know if a Ghostbusters PS2 disc would play in my 80GB PS3? I haven't found a PS2 game yet that didnt work with backwards compatability, but then again, I haven't tried playing any PS2 games that came out AFTER the PS3.
Secondly, I've read on a few message boards (but seen no proof from official sites yet) that since they had some extra time to tweak the game before it's June release, that the developers went back into the PS3 and XBOX360 versions (probably PC as well) and added a pretty limited "Create-A-Buster", which would let you make small changes like hairstyle, skin color, body type and even let you choose to be a female. I saw it written than fans complained about not being able to edit their player so they went back in and put in the feature. Fact or fiction?
To answer your first question, I do beleive that the 80 gig PS3 will play the PS2 version of this game, as for your second, it is true that, since Atari took over the publishing rights, TR has used the extra dev time to "tweak" the game and add a few more little things to it, but saddly, a "Create-A-Buster" mode was not one of them. Now, in the PS2 and Wii versions, you will be able to play as a male or female rookie GB.
