Discuss all things Ghostbusters here, unless they would be better suited in one of the few forums below.

I'm learning to play the keyboard and I would love to play the Ghostbuster's main title theme (Elmer Bernstein's). I've been looking for the sheet music for it on several places; but I haven't been able to find it. Any music books or recommendations of on-line digital sheet music I could buy will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, not being able to find the sheet music for this piece, I decided to do it myself. Using Widi Pro and several hours of editing, I finally managed to come up with something that sounds decent enough. The sheet music is published here:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/31278575/Ghos ... rBernstein

Admittedly, this score is somewhat hard to play. But the MIDI sounds good enough. Bits of it may need further arrangement too; but I'll leave that to more talented people.

Enjoy!

I just uploaded the MIDI file for this piece here:

http://sites.google.com/site/raresheetm ... eTheme.mid

and the source file in NWC (NoteWorthy Composer) format here:

http://sites.google.com/site/raresheetm ... nTitle.nwc

Again, both files may need some editing: for instance, the MIDI is all pianos, so it still needs the right instruments in each track. Hopefully, these files will be useful anyway.

I updated this piece to attempt a better orchestration. Then I rendered the resulting MIDI to MP3, which can be downloaded here:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... le-Orc.mp3

(I took some liberties with the instruments to make the MIDI sound reasonably decent)

The sheet music for this arrangement can be downloaded here:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/31278575/Ghos ... rBernstein

The MIDI is here:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... -Orc-2.mid

NWC format:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... -Orc-2.nwc

This piece is still somewhat unplayable solo... but that's my next goal!

Well, it's true: I haven't been in this forum for a while; but I got a notification and I was able to find these old files. So here you go:

The PDF for the orchestrated version:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... edirects=0

The MIDI:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... edirects=0

and a sample MP3 rendered from the above:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... edirects=0

and also, the source Noteworthy file:

https://sites.google.com/site/raresheet ... edirects=0

Please, bear in mind that I'm not a professional musician and I worked backwards from the audio to render the sheet music through a spectral analysis tool (and some guesswork too). So, I guess what I'm saying is that the sheet music can still be improved; but it should give you a pretty good starting point.

I would love to hear what you can do with these, and -- if it's not too much to ask -- could you please share any MIDIs you render from them?

Good luck!

The links doesn't work, I need the MIDI version but there are a Google Error
Unfortunately some stuff posted on the internet has a shelf life. As Skraag hasn't been active on the forum since 2018, it's unlikely you'll be able to get the MIDI files from him.
