I know the parts list says 10 feet, but that seems kind of excessive. Is that a confirmed cannon/accurate length for the pedal-to-trap hose?

Ten feet seems to be the average cord length based on some of the screen-used props. You can always shorten it a bit if it seems like you have too much; I think that my trap cord is at about 9.5'.
