Based off of multiple opininions and interest expressed by other members the RNYGB team will be creating a ranked class system. Different job types (GB clearences, responsibilities) will be assigned.

There is a formula for your individual ID #. For example mine would be the following:
RNYGB-102985-0988-NAP-001
(Franchise-6 digit date of birth-last 4 digits of SS#-Initials-member #)
Each code will be specific to you individually without being overly revealing, yet also remain uniform.

Corralating to the ranking system - our uniforms -
Our standard franchise uniform is pretty damn sharp. A black rothco flightsuit with (well you know all the specific trimmings!)
Well that still remains the same, however to tie in the uniform to your rank there would be one minor alteration. A colored collar. This would allow a nod to RGB and offset your suit with a slight personal touch yet keep it uniform (the suit itself still black and everything else remaining the same. This way we still all match eachother.)
There would need to be a color chart/ranking chart lined up.
Keep in mind this is just an idea-not set in stone.
An example being Shaun and my collars being purple (the two original core members)
Stacie and Galina having blue collars. And so on. Each color representing a specific rank/class.

ID badges.
ID badges will feature your profile picture (headshot), location, rank and title, ID #, class authorization. I am workin on a design /layout and am near completion. Once finalized I will ask you to submit the needed info and picture. Derek will be providing us with a hook up for the white pvc badges. Stacie will be helping me with the the finalized layout. I will keep you posted as this progresses. Also note that the badges will come in an embossed leather wallet (GB logo). That part of it is still in research for a source to buy from and have custom done.

ID#: RNYGB-102985-0988-NAP-001

looks good to me.

Also what is the purpose of having your birthdate and last four of your SSN on your IDs?
Just trying to make everything more fun & personal . I.E. I might not have a specific rank bit on my ID it might say something like "Equipment technician".

Stacie- Occult Specialist, Special Collections and Field Research Expert- Office Manager
Mark- Equipment Technician and General Maintance Manager
Shaun- Investigations Expert, Lead Field Researcher -VP, Public Relations
Nick Y.- Lab Technician, Offensive/ Defensive Technologies Research & Development Specialist
Mike- Expiremental Technologies Expert Field Tester
Derek-Ecto-1 and Ecto Containment Unit Master Technician

These would be added underneath your ID number.

You've got the last 4 of your social, and birthdays... 0-o u know what else would be fun? Add your mothers maiden name and bank account #.

I think that the last 4 of ur social is a little too much info. If you call your insurance provider, cell phone company, or bank they only ask ur name, b day, and last 4 of ur soc.

FIND SOME NEW NUMBERS!

Maybe u could use the last 4 of your cell number, and the year you were born followed by the month. It will have a set up like
(Gb group letters) - (4 cell)- (year/mo)- (initials)- (number in order of when u joined your group)

An example for me would be more like

GBNH-1017-198307-LMC-006

It still has the official look but the numbers don't contain any info that could be used for identity theft.

I also would like to add that I personally don't like the idea of the ID cards, they seem lime over kill to me and would just make you come off as though you were trying to pretend u were someone of authority.

But that's just my opinion, which doesn't make it right.

I do see a point, there, Nick. Maybe not using any bits of personal LEGAL info would be a great idea and well in order.

I like the job classifications, a lot. I am actually (legit) currently working on a Doctor of Metaphysics, and would like in with Stacie on the Occult field. ;)

Yea I can see how the soc numbers could make people feel odd. Lets replace it with the last digits of cell numbers. that way its still personal like powlowski intended it to be but still be on a playful side.

Oh congrats Nick when is your grad date?
Im finishing up my bac this may and been thinking of going for a dergee in Theatrical arts and design aka make-up artist :D

It's a correspondence course through the monestary. So, no real grad date. I just need to follow up on some stuff.

I have a couple ideas regarding serial number issues, but, honestly, I think this may have been the wrong place to toss certain things toward the ring.

Ok so keep the exact same formula except use any four digit number combo you'd like in place of the last four SS#'s. Use a cell # or graduating year make something up just keep the formula the same.

My apologies if I'm off base, but wouldn't a system like such make some members of your group feel like they have less of a value, depending on where they are ranked? Like one is more important than another? I dunno, I guess it all depends on how it's established.
#372394
Our group thought about doing this, we abandoned the idea because we felt it didn't keep with the feel of the movie. I mean none of the guys in the movie talk about or hold a title.
They all kinda pitch in and do what's needed. The only time (as far as I can remember) anything like this coming up is the first meeting with Peck when Peter rattles off his degrees, and the other time is when they arrive at Dana's building and Peter calls Ray "The Heart of the Ghostbusters."
But hey it's only one opinon, and by all means if your group wants to do this go for it.
I do have a metal policelike badge that I wear on my shoulder strap, and the number on it is 0971 which is the month and year I was born, but to be honest the only thing anyone has ever said about it is , "Hey awesome badge!"
If your group does decide to get these made please post one I'd love to see it. :)
