August 14-17 at the Indiana Convention Center. Always a big event.

Unlike the recent PopCon :-x , I know I'm going to be at this one--the badge is already bought and paid for. I'll be there Thursday and Saturday at the very least, but who knows--I ended up being there Sunday last year, and at the rate I'm going I'll probably end up their Friday too.

Vincent Belmont (whom some of you older Ghostheads should remember) should be there--I saw him complaining on Twitter about having to get a hotel room ten miles away, but he should be there.

Borzou, I suspect, will be there. If so, we definitely gotta figure out some time to meet up.

The pre-registration period ends June 29--after that, the price goes up. More information here:

Maybe next year.

He doesn't post here anymore, but he was active on GBN back in the day, and involved in the fan fic community; he was even a Mod for a while. He now runs a gaming blog

You oughta go at least once. Living in town makes it a lot easier--you don't have to fight for a hotel room, just have to find a parking spot. The Lucas Oil Stadium lot is usually good (except when they're hosting a preseason football game, like they did Saturday. Fortunately, I was able to get dropped off by a friend and then picked up when we were done)

It's a little cheaper to plan ahead and buy your badge early--next year's, based on previous years, will probably go on sale sometime near the end of January. Preordering knocks about $10 off the price.

Yeah, I really have no excuse for not going. Other than I'm not a big gamer and don't have a proton pack. Regardless, I need to make it happen. It usually sneaks up on me and I don't realize it's going on until it's too late, which was the case this year.
