Just slapped an IDE cable onto my pack last night...didn't think about using magic markers on it. Oh well. The "non-ghostheads" at halloween won't notice at all.

They have three or four modes, some flashing, some with a flashlight in the base on as well. They'd work well as a power cell, or on the end of a proton gun! They come in green, blue, and red, and could easily be cut down to whatever length you need. They're about 7" long.

What do they do? If they're constant on, you might as well have just tossed a flashlight in the pack. They slowly color shift.. each led has 3 colors is shifts to.. it's a pretty nifty lighting effect, but not cycling".

- What's the best adhesive? Hot glue didn't work out very well last year.
- Do any major retailers sell ribbon cables?
- I'm going for the silly string gun idea this year and using this gun (http://www.incrediblegifts.com/sillystringgun.html). I'm getting a bike handle tomorrow and putting it over some PVC pipe, all I have to worry about is attaching it to the gun as well as a makeshift holster, I think that will be my biggest feat.

joeghostbuster wrote:google "LED magic spinner" - these are a good source for cheap easy PKE meters, the more advanced propper can probably remove the ball part and put a more movie accurate rectangular case around the lights with a screen etc. these can be found anywhere, I found them in the halloween section at "Christmas Tree Shop" but they can usually be found year-roundbetter yet, they'd work for a gigameter!
