So I got a set of authentic Dale resistors from a seller on eBay, and while they are in great condition the RH50 is faded to more of a grey color than the other two. I was wondering if you all would suggest I try and paint it back to black or just leave it be. If I paint it then I am afraid it will then be deeper black than the other two. Also painting it will cover the white lettering on the side. Just not sure what to do.

I’d try freshening them up a little bit of machine oil and a rag. That may return a bit of luster. In any case, I wouldn’t consider painting those. If you wanted a painted look, you would have been better off with resin casts.
