I am having a hard time uploading pictures

Unfortunately images can't be linked directly from a computer folder, they first need to be uploaded to an image host, Imgur is one of the best options these days... Although flickr or even Facebook can be used (in the latter case, you may need to make the privacy settings very low). Once you've hosted them there, you'll then need to get the image's coding, which looks like this:

-If the code doesn't end in an extension with .jpg, .png, .gif, it may not display the image at all on the forum, though there are some exceptions.

Once you have the image code, you need to implement the forum's image tags:
