So, tired of the Wand being in the way every time I transport this thing or when doing upgrades or maintenance, so I cobbled together this little quick disconnect. Quite handy, not sure if anyone else has done this mod, I looked, didn't find much on subject so I tried this. Works perfectly. Little ugly at moment, including needing some bondo repair on my plates but that's easily fixed.

I love it..worth doing if your constantly packing this thing up. Looks fairly well too, I'll wrap the green mil connector in electrical tape and it should hide it nicely. And yes it sits on the bottom thick plate perfectly balanced and upright without touching it. Still haven't figured out how I did that, but eliminates needing a stand. Takes some hard poking to knock it over.

I've had a pair of these waiting since mid-March

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00W9 ... UTF8&psc=1

The Cyclotron end should be a no-brainer (flat surface to mount the fixed end). I'll have to wait for Anovos to actually ship to figure out if doing the wand end as well will be feasible.

With the GBFans boards, Pins 1-4 are V+, with 5-8 as Ground, and pin 14 not used.. By combining each group with a single 22 or 20 AWG that reduces the total number of wires to 7.

Hi,

I really like the idea. The looks of it make it plausible for the movie: great idea and find. Is it working to your satisfaction ?

Also : the link doesn't work anymore on Amazon : do you have any reference or product name so I can look it up ?

Thanks, and congratulations ;)

USB actually isn't a bad idea but not enough wires. I think its only a 4 conductor cable. I have my connectors potted in, so it will take some serious yanking to damage something. I think its much stronger than when I had just the cable loom coming through the thru hole. Must say its super handy when transporting now.
