We have 3 Spirit packs (two people with bad backs and 1 person is 5'0") and for ECCC we drilled 4 holes and zip tied the shell to the Alice frame which works well but we're building proper motherboards for it.

Any assistance on the size of the L Bracket I should get?

You can see our zip ties in this picture

This is what I made for mounting my sons pack

Thanks! I figured metal ones were over kill for this, hence looking for alternatives. Do I need to tap the hole at all?

You made this even easier than I could have hoped. Thanks a ton

I found some l brackets at home depot. They are not to wide and have pre drilled holes so tapping them was easy and the ones I got fit in the upper channels on the pack. I also made a mobo out of thin plywood.
