Here's my first-ever Ecto Goggles I built, using Norm's plans.

Only took about 2 days, due to waiting for the paint to dry since it was still stickie.
I sealed the paint on the goggles and black eye pieces with Modge Podge.

No more stickies! :walterpeck:

I added the side "knobs" and "power switch" to the bottom, by looking at photos of the actual props.

I plan on adding some green LEDs when time allows.

The side "knobs" are just plastic water bottle caps painted flat black and the "switch" on the bottom is just a small knob, screw and metal pice I found in a junk drawer, painted black, too. The "power switch" as well as the "side knobs", actually turn as well.

The Goggle body is painted flat black and satin oregano (Rust-O-leum) to give it a dark, olive drab look.

I also added some small screws to where the elastic straps attach to, and held in place with hot glue.

Overall, I'm quite happy the way they turned out. :)

Much thanks, robpenfold. They were a lot of fun and easy to build. Plus they look great in person.
Good luck with your own goggles. ;) Yes, it is exciting to build new props, isn't it?
