I did a two part mold. The flexible silicone mold sits in a rigid resin mother mold to avoid distortion, however I agree with AJ on his diagnosis of his mold. I found that with all the various shapes involved that building up the flexible mold is indeed the best defense against a torn one, especially around the gunbox straps and N-Filter. |

One last tip, and I know its pretty common knowledge now - fiberglassing the outside. I have not done it myself, but looked into it. There's a video on Youtube that shows the silicone molding, somewhere... If anyone's interested I can dig it up. |

I have that same issue with my pack shell mold. I made one casting and it ripped in two areas... any ideas on how to fix it without trashing such an expensive mold? |
